Lucknow: As part of the “Jagriti — Nyaya Jagrukta, Grassroots Information and Transparency Initiative” scheme, 2025, run by NALSA, the District Legal Services Authority, Lucknow, is conducting a wide-ranging legal awareness campaign through August 2026.
As part of this campaign, a legal awareness camp was organised on the occasion of International Youth Day at Janta Inter College, Chander Nagar, Alambagh, Lucknow, by para-legal volunteer Dayaram Maurya. The camp was attended by Principal Amitabh Sharma, teachers Nagesh, Shailendra Kumar Singh and Ankit Kumar Singh, and students of the school. The theme of the campaign has been kept as “Empowered Youth, Strong India.”
Dayaram Maurya said the objective of the camp was to inform youth and students about their legal and constitutional rights, free legal aid, the free legal aid toll-free number 15100, and NALSA’s Jagriti scheme. Under the Jagriti campaign, efforts will be made to protect the rights of juveniles in conflict with law, spread awareness of the legal provisions available for their rehabilitation and protection, and ensure necessary legal assistance for them. In addition, awareness will also be raised about the legal aid and corrective opportunities available for first-time offenders.

He said the District Legal Services Authority will strive to ensure that young people are not only familiar with their rights and duties but are also able to make effective use of the free legal services and judicial assistance available to them whenever needed.
This campaign, being run on the occasion of International Youth Day, aims to make youth aware of justice, rights and the law, and inspire them towards active, responsible and empowered participation in nation-building. With the spirit of “Empowered Youth, Strong India,” this initiative is an important step towards taking equal access to justice and legal awareness to the grassroots level.
